To All members of the Key Coalition of Alaska,

You do make a difference!!!

The power of people coming together, united in pursuit of a shared dream, can move a mountain.  Never underestimate the force generated through our unity.

Each member of the Key Coalition of Alaska is essential to our mission and to the ultimate realization of “community for everyone.”  As our army of advocates continues to grow through the years, we now see strong, local chapters beginning to appear across Alaska.  Each chapter is intimately tied into our State Board of Directors.  Every locally elected president also occupies a designated seat on the state board. Local chapters maintain the autonomy to tackle specific community issues and raise funds that remain in that region always receiving the collective power and support of the entire coalition.  And it all begins with you!

IF you believe that children have the need and the right to remain with their natural families with modest, effective and consumer driven community supports;

IF you believe that every adult must live as independently as possible with equal opportunity dignity and status in neighborhoods of their choice;

IF you believe that Alaska’s Wait List must be eradicated, once and for all, and the time to accomplish this begins today;

IF you believe that community is truly for everyone and that we will see a day when full and total inclusion is a reality for all of our citizens, then---

Please- continue to give us your support by either renewing your membership for another year, or by joining us as a new advocate.  Get involved at the local level.  Volunteer your time, talent, fundraising skills and knowledge.  Host a legislator in your home.  Send a POM.  Get active in political campaigns.  Write an article for our newsletter.

There are so many ways that you can help- the lists goes on and on.  But the most important of all is the simplest:  Be an active part of the key Coalition of Alaska.  Recruit friends and neighbors, associates and colleagues.  Spread the Word.  Share the Dream.  Extend the Vision.  Let all of Alaska know, if it doesn’t know already.  We’ve kept the Promise. We’ve been here for 19 years and we’re not going away until---  until we see that day, together, when no one has to wait……
